Who we are:
Homeschool Journey and Teacher’s Garden Blog is located at https://homeschooljourney.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it:
We want you to know that when you place an order, request a freebie, or subscribe to the newsletter, we will need to collect your email address. Additionally, for all physical orders (hard copy products), we will need your name and a mailing address.
We collect and use this personal data only for the purposes of sending you your digital products or freebies, shipping your physical orders (hard copy products), providing you with customer service, and engaging you through email newsletters.
Comments made to blog posts will be filtered through Akasmet, an anti-spam service. Comments submitted to Akismet anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.
How long we retain your data:
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites:
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How we protect your data:
Homeschool Journey will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, Homeschool Journey would only disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when Homeschool Journey believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Homeschool Journey, third parties, or the public at large. If you requested a freebie, or subscribed to the Homeschool Journey newsletter, Homeschool Journey may occasionally send you an email newsletter to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Homeschool Journey and our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users, but we will remove any potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information beforehand.
What rights you have over your data:
If you have subscribed to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time through Constant Contact, or by following the link provided in the email newsletter. If you have emailed us directly, or left comments on the blog, you can request us to remove any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
