Documentation and Keepsakes

I had a brainstorm the other day. I wanted to make space in the bookshelves, and started to cull books which we had outgrown. Now, certain books are family keepsakes, and I did neatly pack them away, and marked them as “keepsakes.” However, some school type books, which were not the “let’s get cuddly and read” types but yet still had some cozy memories attached were harder to decide whether they were keepers, or ones to pass along. So, my brainstorm was to fan them out nicely and snap a few pictures. I put them in my family photos file, in the year which we used them, and now when I am ready to scrapbook that year I can include a photo of some of the books we read at that time!

What a neat idea! That ease the process of letting go which we procrastinate so much.
